Abstract
Adventitial fibrosis of mesenteric vessels with luminal narrowing and subsequent infarction of a segment of small bowel occurred in a 51-year-old woman who was treated with methysergide maleate for vascular headaches. Following the resection of the gangrenous bowel, the resumption of drug therapy was accompanied by intermittent claudication, which disappeared when it was discontinued.
