Abstract
METHYSERGIDE, BETTER known as Sansert or Deseril, has been used for the prophylactic treatment of migraine and other vascular headaches for over ten years. Numerous side effects have been noted which limit its use.1 Most of these are quickly apparent, thereby causing cessation of the drug. In the past few years, the onset of inflammatory fibrosis during methysergide therapy, which usually does not become manifest for several months or more, has been well documented, and I would like to report on our experience with fibrotic reactions to this drug.
