Abstract
Abstract It has been found that 9-aminofluorene (I) exhibits two fluorescences. One emission is at ≈ 310 nm and the other is solvent dependent, and occurs between ≈ 360 and ≈ 410 nm. The solvent-dependent fluorescence is attiributed to a novel kind of tiwsted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) coformer which forms within the lifetime of the lowest excited singlet state.
