Abstract
The bismuth organic framework of 5-(2,4-diguanidino-3,5,6-trihydroxy-cyclohexoxy)-4-[4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-methylamine-tetrahydrop-ya-2-yl] oxy-3-hydroxy-2-methyl-tetrahydrofuran-3-carbaldehyde and (2S,5R,6R)-6-[(8)-2-amino-2-phenylacetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-t-oxo-4-thia-1azabicyclo [3.2.0] heptane-2-carboxylic acid (l) is reported. All the conformational changes and the binding abilities of the organic framework toward Bi(V) were identified by various physiochemical and spectroscopic measurements including IR, 1H NMR, UV – vis, mass spectroscopy, molecular modeling and X-ray powder diffractometry. The bond formation between Bi(V) and the donor atoms of the ligand, nitrogen and oxygen, have been investigated. Molecular modeling of the complex was also used to elucidate the coordination environment and molecular arrangement along with bond lengths and angles.
