Abstract
PREVIOUS work1,2 has indicated that in hydrated stearanilide the bound water is held by a micellar structure. It has also been shown1 that a chain containing at least sixteen carbon atoms is necessary for water-binding by anilides of normal fatty acids. Further investigation of factors influencing hydration has now been made.
