Abstract
Abstract After occupational exposure to Botran, dichloran was found in the whole blood and urine of an individual engaged in aerial dusting, and in four pesticide formulators. The chemical procedure used for its identification and measurement is described, using electron capture gas chromatography. The identity of dichloran was confirmed by infrared spectrophotometry. A study of the formulators was carried out over an 8-day period, comparing the intensity of exposure, [K] t, of the workers, with blood and urine dichloran values (in ppb). No evidence of overt toxicity was observed to this or any other chemical to which these formulators were exposed during the study period.
