Abstract
As reported previously, the 11β-hydroxylase inhibitor [C]metomidate, as well as [F]FDG, may be used for imaging of adrenal masses [1–4]. The positron emission tomography images presented here were acquired in a 50year-old patient with metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma. Only some of the known metastases show [F]FDG uptake (right: image obtained 40 min after administration of 370 MBq [F]FDG), whereas intense accumulation of [C]metomidate is seen (left: image obtained 20 min after administration of 300 MBq [C]metomidate).
