Abstract
Objective To analyze the influence of telbivudine and lamivudine on kidney of hepatitis B paitents. Methods From May 2012 to May 2015, 120 hepatitis B patients were selected as research objects in our hospital and they were divided into research group and control group by random number table method. The research group was treated with telbivudine and control group was treated with lamivudine. Renal functions, urea nitrogen content, ALT recovery rate were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results Glomerular filtration rate and creatinine level of the research group were significantly improved after treatment than that before treatment (P 0.05). Urea nitrogen content of research groups was significantly increased after treatment compared to that before treatment (P 0.05). ALT recovery rate of research group was 100% in 96 weeks after treatment and was higher than that of control groups (P<0.05). Conclusions Telbivudine showed superior effects on improving renal function than lamivudine and was valuable to be applied extensively. Key words: Telbivudine; lamivudine; Hepatitis B; Renal function
