Abstract
The phytochemical investigation of a northwest herb, Galium triflorum, is presented including a study of the physical and chemical properties and methods of isolation of asperuloside, a glucoside common to many members of the Rubiaceae. The hypotensive effects of asperuloside and an aqueous extract of the plant were tested pharmacologically. The results obtained are presented.
