Abstract
The isolation of a new antibiotic, kanamycin, and preliminary descriptions of its physicochemical, pharmacological, and tint ibacterial characteristics have appeared Our studies of kanamycin sulfate were initiated with a view to establishing its effectiveness in the treatment of resistant staphylococcal and Gram-negative bacillary infections. The purpose of this paper is to present certain in vitro observations in connection with the patients receiving this antibiotic and pharmacological data relating to absorption and excretion.
