Abstract
Field testing of Monosultap 400 SL insecticide to Sexava nubila on coconut Palm The objective of this research was to study the effectiviness of Monosultap 400 SL insecticide on coconut pest, . The research was done on attacked area of in Moronge Village, Moronge Sub District, Talaud District, North Sulawesi from June 2010 to August 2010. The research was done by using Randomized Block Design with five treatments and five replications. The treatments were Monosultap 400 SL with doses 5, 10, 15, 20 ml/palm and control (untreated). Insecticides were applicated by trunk injection. Observation was done every day for ten days. The results showed that the application of insecticide Monosultap 400 SL effectively controlled in the field. Mortality of nymph and adult started 1 day after treatment and the mortality increase up to 100% at 5-6 days after treatment. Recomended dose of insectiside Monosultap 400 SL to control is 5 ml/palm.
