Abstract
T H E clinical and post-mortem features of acute phosphorus poisoning are well recog nised (Diaz-Rivera et al., 1930; Arena, 1963 and Cameron and Rentoul, 1963). We have recently encountered a case in which Uver damage similar to that described in acute phosphorus poisoning occurred in association wkh the intraperitoneal and systemic ad ministration of the phosphorus containing cytotoxic drug Azetepa (triethylene thioi^osphoramide).' The case is recorded as an un usual mechanism of severe liver damage and as a previously unreported complication of Azetepa therapy.
