Abstract
The syntheses of 2,6-diundecyl-4-phenylpyrylium perchlorate (3a) and 2,6-dipalmitoyl-4-phenylpyrylium perchlorate (3b) are described. The N-methyl-pyridinium salts 5a, b and pyridines 6a, b were obtained by reaction between salts 3a, b with methylamine and ammonia, respectively. Their IR, 1 H, 1 3 C and GC-MS spectra are discussed.
