Abstract
The silver diethyldithiocarbamate (SDDC) method was applied for the microdetermination of arsenic in compounds listed in J.P. VII., but the results were in disorder. The accuracy of the method was increased by the restriction of reaction temperature and improvement of the apparatus. Namely, the evolution flask was dipped in a water bath at 25°±1°C, the receiving test tube was dipped in a cold water bath (10°±1°C), and glass-pore of the receiving test tube was reduced with a glass-rod. The relative error of this improved method was 3.6%, and the coefficient of variation was 4%.
