Abstract
Monomer material of acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester was analyzed by Fourier Transform Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (FT-NMR) spectrometer for analysis of carbon atom ( 13 C) using Distortionless Enhancement by Polarization Transfer (DEPT) measurement mode without coupling from proton atom ( 1 H). Acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester material was synthesized by reacting acrylic acid with L-proline methyl ester hydrochloride in triethylamine at 90 °C. Acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester is one of an essensial monomer material, because hydrogel polymer of polyacryloyl-L-proline methyl ester synthesized from this monomer is greatly utilized for diagnosis and therapy of vascular tumor. From molecular structure analysis using DEPT FT-NMR measurement, it is shown that the acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester monomer material was successfully synthesized and analyzed accurately. Keywords: FT-NMR, DEPT, Coupling, Acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester.
