Abstract
Using dihydroergotamine mesylate [Sandoz] to treat patients with acute migraine can lead to pain relief without the need for adjunctive antiemetic therapy, according to recent trial results. In fact, treatment with this drug led to significant reductions in nausea, vomiting and migraine pain. The results of this study were presented and discussed at the 6th International Headache Congress held in Paris, France, last month.
