Abstract
The novel FeTMPyP [5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis ( N -methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrinato iron (III)]/TaWO 6 nanotube composite was fabricated through a rapid and convenient exfoliation/reassembling method. In this process, the layered structure of the original LiTaWO 6 was reconstructed into the tubular structure of the FeTMPyP/TaWO 6 composite. The change of morphology has been verified by the characterization means of scanning electron micrograph, transmission electron microscope and high-resolution transmission electron microscope. The composition of the as-prepared samples was determined by Fourier transformed infrared spectra and energy-dispersive spectroscopy. Furthermore, the FeTMPyP/TaWO 6 composite as an effective sensing material showed excellent sensitivity for electrochemical detection of dopamine (DA). FeTMPyP/TaWO 6 -modified electrode can accelerate electron transfer process and enhance the current response to DA sensing. Also, a detection limit of DA was calculated as 1.2 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3.0 with a wide concentration range from 12 to 427 μM.
