Abstract
: The pharmacology of ethaverine hydrochloride has been studied in humans and animals. The studies determined that the drug was an effective smooth muscle relaxant. The ethaverine hydrochloride produced significant increase in peripheral blood flow in patients with occlusive artery disease. In longitudinal studies there was no evidence of toxic effects in patients receiving 100 mg ethaverine HCl three times a day.
