Abstract
Falcarinol [heptadeca-1,9(Z)-diene-4,6-diyn-3-ol] and falcarindiol [heptadeca-1,9(Z)-diene-4,6-diyne-3,8-diol] were extracted from edible parsley root and purified by means of multilayer coil countercurrent chromatography. The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic and chemical derivatization methods. Their influence on seed germination was examined
