Abstract
Cuprous thiocyanate(CuSCN) nanoparticles were prepared by transformation of cuprous chloride,in which sodium hexa-metaphosphate is inorganic dispersant.Experimental principle and the factors that influence the size of particles were investigated.These factors include pH value,quantities of dispersant and the concentration of reactants.The greatest factor is pH value.Experi-mental principle can be explained by the gradually transformation process of CuCl to CuSCN and the double-layer effect of inorganic dispersant.Transmission electron microscope,scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,and infrared spectroscopy were used to cha-racterize the particles.The result suggests that pure CuSCN nanoparticles with a even size of 80—90 nm are obtained when pH value is 6.7—7.2,mass fraction of dispersant is 0.05% and the concentration of reactants is 0.3 mol/L.
