Abstract
Maleimido 6 amino caproyl ester of mPEG (mal sac mPEG), as a sulfhydryl PEGylation reagent of protein, was prepared by a simple method using maleimide and aminocaproic acid. The ratio of material and eluant of column chromatography were investigated. The intermedia product mal sac and active mPEG were characterized through melting point test, IR, 1H NMR and ultraviolet scanning analysis. The melting point of mal sac mPEG was 55~56℃, the new absorbance peak was at 320nm and the typical character absorption of IR was detected. SDS PAGE was applied as a convenient technique in the analysis of modification effect suggesting that the active mPEG could be used to modify lysozyme.
