Abstract
Fluorinated photoinitiator pentadecafluoro-propionic acid-2-[4-(2-hydroxy-2-methyl-prop-ionyl)-phenoxy]-ethyl ester(2959-F)was synthesized with 2-hydroxy-4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-methylpro-piophenone(Irgacure 2959)and pentadecafluorooctanoyl chloride(PFOC).Product synthesized was characterized by Fourier Transform infrared spectrum(FT-IR)and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance 19F spectrum(19F NMR).The UV absorption of 2959-F was evaluated by the UV absorption spectra.The polymerization kinetics of fluorinated photoinitiator 2959-F was investigated by Real time infrared spectroscopy(RT-IR),and studied the effects of various light intensity and concentration of photo-initiator on polymerization rate and the double bond conversion.The results indicated that the rate of polymerization and final double bond conversion would increase with increase of light intensity and concentration of photo-initiator.The results showed that fluorinated photo-initiator 2959-F had high conversion rate of double bond and polymerization rate,and could overcome oxygen inhibition.
