Abstract
The bitterness and intensively pungent odor of ethyl menthane carboxamide is not comfortable for the operator in the applied process and its efficiency will decrease for its quick release properties in a given environment.A new microencapsulation was established in which small microcapsules with polylactic acid(PLA) wall could be fabricated.The new microencapsulation was based on a solvent evaporation process.FTIR analysis demonstrated that PLA resin was successfully covered over the ethyl menthane carboxamide.SEM and laser particle size methods revealed that the particle size of the microcapsule was in the range of 50~200 μm.Thermal analysis illustrated that the melting point and thermal stability of the microcapsules was obviously improved in a temperature range.Thus,the application field of the microcapsulated ethyl menthane carboxamide may be expanded.
