Abstract
Distearl alcohol pentaerythritol diphosphite has been synthesised with pentaerythritol, triethyl phosphite and stearic alcohol. The effect of reaction temperature, reaction time, catalyst and the molar ratio of raw materials on the yield of the product were observed. The whole process can be divided into two steps:the synthesis of pentaerythritol diphosphite and distearyl pentaerythritol diphosphite. From the experimental result it was concluded that the optimized conditions for the first reaction were under 130℃,the ratio of triethyl phosphate to pentaerythritol being 2.05,that catalyst to pentaerythritol being 0.03 and lasting 2.5 hours. In the second reaction the molar ration of Distearl alcohol to pentaerythritol diphosphite at 2.05,under 160℃,lasting 3 hours, conversion was over 85%.In the process phenol and the three wastes could not be produced, under the mild reaction condition, easy manipulation and post-treatment and short reaction time. The element analysis and IR spectrogram of the product were identical with the target product.
