Abstract
The reaction between 2-methoxybenzenediazonium and sulfite ions in aqueous solution was followed by polarography. The polarographic waves of sulfite, diazonium, and diazosulfonate were studied in the pH range of 1-7. The second order rate constants found at 11° and 20° and the rate constant at 25°C reported in part I were corrected to zero ionic strength yielding values of 400, 700, and 2000 1 mole−1 s−1, respectively.
