Abstract
A study was made to determine the biologic response of human pulp tissue to isobutyl cyanoacrylate and to assess its desirability as a pulp-capping agent in humans. Clinically all teeth responded favorably. Isobutyl cyanoacrylate helped to maintain the viability of human pulp tissue; it produced immediate hemostasis in bleeding pulp exposures; and it promoted healing of pulp tissue by reparative dentinal bridge formation with little inflammatory response and no zone of necrosis beneath the adhesive.
