Abstract
Summary The synthesis of 1R,1R′,2,3,4,5-tetraphenyl-1-silacyclopentadienes I–V, VII, X, XII and XIII is described. 1-Chloro-1-silacyclopentadiene VI reacts with lithium/trimethylchlorosilane to the silylated compound VII and with lithium alone to the disilane VIII. The silacyclopentadiene IX with an Si−H bond reacts with n-butyllithium under substitution at silicon and by further 1,4-addition of lithium hydride, the hydrolysis products XVa, XVb could be isolated. The photochemical synthesis of the silacyclopentadieneiron tricarbonyl complex XVIII and of the dicarbonyltrimethylphosphane complexes XXII, XXIII and XXIV is described. The Si−C(methyl) bond in XIX can be split by tetrachlorostannane; the chloro compound XX obtained reacts with AgF, AgBF 4 or AgSbF 6 to the corresponding fluoro compound XXI.
