Abstract
The 1-(R) diastereomers of 2-{-9-[4-chlorobenzyl]-8-[-methylsulfinyl]-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-1-yl}acetic acid, have been found to display much higher affinity for the DP receptor than the corresponding 1-(S) diastereomers. They are described as DP receptor antagonists and are claimed to be useful in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and in the alleviation of nasal decongestion.
