Abstract
Through the methods of stepwise regression analysis, partial correlation analysis and path analysis, 45 tested data of samples of soil and tobacco leaf from 5 tobacco-planting areas in Xuchang of Henan were used to study quantitative relationship between chemical properties of soil and contents of Solanone in flue-cured tobacco leaves. The results indicated that the soil chemical properties of soil organic matter content, total nitrogen content, total potassium content, available nitrogen content, CEC, total aluminum, total magnesium and total sodium were the main factors which affected the contents of solanone in flue-cured tobacco leaves. These factors together controlled about 98.87% of the changes of solanone content in flue-cured tobacco leaves. Soil organic content was the key factor with a positive effect. Both available nitrogen content and CEC in soil had negative effects on the contents of solanone. The available nitrogen content was the main factor promoting the content of solanone, while the soil organic matter content was the main factor limiting the contents of solanone in flue-cured tobacco leaves.
