Abstract
Sodium acetrizoate has been used as a contrast medium in intravenous urography in 113 cases. An analysis of side-effects suggests that this drug is less toxic than Diodone and Iodoxyl. The degree of contrast and rate of appearance of the pyelographic shadows is not significantly different from those obtained with Diodone or Iodoxyl. Chemical and physical differences between the three drugs are tabulated.
