Abstract
Several regions of the nervous system of D. magna are found to contain granules stained by paraldehyde–fuchsin; these are the optic ganglion, anterior and ventral surfaces of the brain, two regions in the circumenteric connectives, and one cell at each of the junctions of the ventral nerve cords with the second ventral commissure. In the last site, variations in activity are detected.
