Abstract
Stability constants of Zn2+, Cd2+, and Co2+ complexes of trimethylenediamine-N,N,N′,N′-tetraacetic acid were determined at 298.15 K and ionic strengths of 0.1, 0.5, and 1.0 by potentiometric titration. Potassium nitrate and chloride were used as supporting electrolytes. The results obtained were extrapolated to the zeroth ionic strength using an equation with one individual parameter, and the thermodynamic stability constants of the complexes were calculated. The results are compared with the corresponding data on related compounds.
