Abstract
Effects of a centrally acting hypotensive compound, (2-(4-(3-methyl-phenyl)-1-piperazinyl)ethyl quinoline (Centhaquin) on the cardiohaemodynamics have been studied in several species of animals. The hypotensive response to centhaquin could not be due to a depressant effect on the cardiac contractility. Centhaquin may be potentially useful in hypertensive patients with cardiac or renal complications
