Abstract
Several antihistaminics have been proved to exhibit antifungal activity (RIETH 1962). Recently, it has been reported that antazoline hydrochloride was shown to have a bactericidal activity. A concentration of 4 mg/ml of such compound was noticed to inhibit the growth of all tested microorganisms (AYAD et al. 1971). Such findings have encouraged us for further investigation upon the in vitro antifungal effect of this compound, with special reference to different factors affecting its antimicrobial activity.
