Abstract
The polarographic behavior of 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone was studied by linear-sweep polarography.The results show that the second-order derivative peak potential of 2,4 -dihydrobenzophenone is -1.20 V(vs.SCE) at pH 4.30 in B-R buffer solution and its peak height is proportional to the concentration of 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone in the range of 5.010~(-7) molL~(-1)8.010~(-6) molL~(-1) with correlation coefficient 0.999 9. The polarographic wave is an irreversible adsorption wave.
