Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of butenafine hydrochloride 1% cream in the treatment of tinea pedis,tinea cruris and tinea corporis.Methods:A randomized,double-blind,parallel-group trial was used.Results:At the end of study,for tinea cruris and tinea corporis patients,the overall cure rate,the response rates of the test group vs the control group were 32.76% vs 38.98%,93.10% vs 94.92%.Tinea pedis patients were 29.31% vs 30.00%,89.66% vs 85.00%.Two weeks follow-up,for tinea cruris and tinea corporis were 62.07% vs 64.41% and 93.10% vs 96.61%.Tinea pedis patients were 48.28% vs 43.33% and 91.38% vs 86.67%.The local adverse reaction rates of two test groups vs two control groups were 5.13% vs 4.17%.There were no statistically significant differences between two groups on above-mentioned data.Conclusion:Butenafine hydrochloride 1% cream is effective and well-tolerated in the treatment of tinea pedis,tinea cruris and tinea corporis.
