Abstract
N,N-dimethylpropanamide(DMAA) is one of important fine chemicals widely used in many application fields.DMAA was synthesized using 3-(dimethylamino)-N,N-dimethyl-propanamide(DMDA) as a raw material and proton acid B as a catalyst.The effects of main reaction conditions on the conversion of DMAA were examined.The optimum process parameters were selected as follows: proton acid B concentration was 2%,reaction temperature was 180 ℃,pressure was 47 880 Pa,and reaction time was 4 h.The yield of the product DMAA was 84.2% under the above conditions.
