Abstract
2-Bromobutyric acid was synthesized from bromine and n-butyric acid through two methods,PBr3 route and PPA route.We found that the method of PPA route was better than that of PBr3 route,the method of PPA route was adopted to synthesize 2-bromobutyric acid with the yield of 84.5%,and the optimal molar ratio of bromine and n-butyric acid was 1.17∶1.By taking 2-bromobutyric acid to react with ammonia gas and ammonia water,respectively,2-aminobutyric acid were prepared,the former yield was 23.2%,and the desired reaction conditions were difficult to achieve.The latter yield reached 62.5% after recrystallization in ethanol solution(the volume ratio of water and ethanol was 1∶3).The product was characterized by IR and 1HNMR and the result was excellent.
