Abstract
Dibenzyl ferulate was synthesized through the reaction of ferulic acid and benzyl chloride in alkaline DMSO with a yield of 94.32% and a purity of 98.5%.The structural characterization of the target compound was conducted by UV,IR,1HNMR,MS and XRD.The antibacterial activity of dibenzyl ferulate against E.coli was investigated by microcalorimetry,and the MIC was 29.81 μg·mL-1.The interaction of dibenzyl ferulate with ct-DNA was investigated by UV spectrum,fluorescence spectrum and viscosity determination.It was indicated that dibenzyl ferulate reacted with ct-DNA in a classic mode of intercalation.Besides,the quenching process was static and the combining constant was 1.58×103 L·mol-1.
