Abstract
Sodium diacetate was synthesized from acetate and sodium hydroxide(Take the water as solvent).The effects of the component ratio, reaction temperature and time on the product yield and quality have been discussed and the optimum technological conditions have been obtained. The optimum conditions by orthogonal design were determined as follows: the ratio of acetic acid to sodium hydroxide is 2.4∶1(molar), reaction temperature is 100℃, reaction time is 120min. The product quality was up to FAO standard and the yield was 94.15%.
