Abstract
The high-purity propionyl chloride was synthesized using propanoic acid and triphosgene as raw materials. Through orthogonal experimental design, the optimum experiment conditions were obtained: the reaction temperature was 50℃, the molar ratio of triphosgene to propanoic acid was 1∶2 and dosage of triethylamine was 2g. The yield of product was 80.3% and its purity can reach over 99.9 %. The structure of title product was identified by IR and gas chromatography.
