Abstract
A large volume of by-product acetyl chloride was produced during the process of the synthesis of methytriacetaloxidesilane.The usage of the acetyl chloride was very limited as it contained a lot of impurities such as chlorotrimethylsilane. A new processing method was described to utilize the acetyl chloride.Trichloroacetyl chloride was synthesized by means of gas-solid catalytic chlorination with acetyl chloride and chlorine as the raw materials.The effects of reaction temperature,the ratio of reactants and retention time on the yield of the reaction and the purity of the product were investigated.Suitable conditions were investigated: reaction temperature 130~140 ℃,the acetyl chloride to chlorine 1∶4.5.The purity of the product and the yield can reach 99.7% and 95% respectively.A model for reaction kinetics was proposed and the model parameters were evaluated.Based on the model,some operation parameters were analyzed and optimized through simulation and caculation.
