Abstract
By use of Mannich reaction,the antioxidizer2,6-di-tert-butyl-4(dimethyl amino methyl) phenol was synthesized with 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol,formaldehyde and dimethylamine as the raw materials.The characterization of the structure of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4(dimethyl amino methyl) phenol was done by means of IR and mass spectrometry.And the optimal synthesis technology was determined by means of orthogonal experiment:The reaction temperature of the first step was 5℃ with the reaction time being 40min;the reaction temperature in the second step was 80℃ with the reaction time of 3.5h;molar ratio of 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol to formaldehyde and to dimethylamine were 1∶1.7,1∶2.7 respeactively.Under these optimum reaction conditions,the yield of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4(dimethyl amino methyl) phenol was 94.7% and the melting point was 91~92℃.
