Abstract
A class of 2-aryl-5-(4-bromophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives was prepared by dehydration of diarylhydrazide.The influence of reaction condition on synthesis was investigated.A yield of 78.9% was obtained in dehydration reaction.The molecular structures of these derivatives were characterized by IR and ~(1)HNMR respectively.The UV absorption and photoluminescent properties were also studied.The results show that all these 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives have a maximum UV absorptions wavelength in 280~301 nm and a peak photoluminescent wavelength in 350~370 nm.The aryl groups have an effect on the UV absorption and photoluminescent properties of these 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives.
