Abstract
Abstract1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoro-1,4-diiodobutane reacts with NaN3 under phase-transfer catalysis conditions to give 3,3,4,4-tetrafluoro-4-iodobutyl azide. The reduction of the azide with triphe-nylphosphine followed by hydrolysis of intermediate iminophosphorane affords 3,3,4,4-tetra-fluoro-4-iodobutylamine.
