Abstract
4-Fluoro-3-phenoxybenzaldehyde(Ⅶ) was synthesized by Sommelet reaction.Thus,4-fluoro-3-phenoxytoluene(Ⅳ) was chlorinated at 72~76 ℃ for 4 h with 4.1 mol % dibenzoyl peroxide as catalyst and CCl_4 as solvent to give α-chloro-4-fluoro-3-phenoxybenzaldehyde(Ⅴ) and α,α-dichloro-4-fluoro-3-phenoxybenzaldehyde(Ⅵ).Then,with n(Ⅴ+Ⅵ)∶n[(CH_2)_6N_4]=1∶4 and 50% aqueous HAc as solvent,the reaction ran at 104~108 ℃ for 4 h to give Ⅶ in total yield of 86.8% yield with purity w(Ⅶ)=98.3% by GC.The structure of Ⅶ was confirmed by elementary analysis,~1HNMR,(~(13)CNMR),IR,and MS.
