Abstract
4-(Sec-butyl)-2,6-di-tert-butylphenol was synthesized from 4-(sec-butyl) phenol and isobutene using sulfuric resin as catalyst.The influence of the catalyst,reaction temperature,reaction time,material ratio and catalyst dosage on the yield of the product was investigated.The optimal reaction conditions were: using sulfuric resin as catalyst with a mass fraction of 3%~5%(based on the mass of 4-(sec-butyl)phenol),the molar ratio n(4-(sec-butyl) butylphenol)∶ n(isobutene)=1∶ 2,the reaction temperature 90~100 ℃,the reaction pressure 0.15 ~0.2 MPa,and the reaction time 4 hours.Under the optimal reaction conditions,the selectivity was more than 95%,4-(sec-butyl)-2,6-di-tert-butylphenol with a purity of more than 97.5% was obtained by distillation,and the yield was more than 95%.
