Abstract
S-(Ethoxycarbonylchloromethyl) thiophosphates were synthesized by the reaction of phosphorylsulfenyl chlorides with ethyl diazoacetate. These compounds exhibit high inhibitory activity with respect to the carboxylesterases of warmblooded animals and do not undergo carboxylesterase hydrolysis. The different role of hydrophobic interactions and the steric factor in the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase was shown by using mathematical-modeling methods.
