Abstract
A novel series of benzothiazole derivatives were synthesized by reacting 7-chloro-6-fluoro-2-(4-nitrophenyl)benzo[d] thiazole with substituted aniline followed by reduction of nitro group to yield title compounds 2-(4-aminophenyl)-6fluoro-N-(substituted-phenyl)benzo[d]thiazol-7-amine 5a–l. All the synthesized compounds have been confirmed by IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, and Mass spectral data. These newly synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro cytotoxicity against mouse Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC) and two human cancer cell lines (MCF-7 and HeLa).
