Abstract
Abstract A series of new 3-amino-4-arylpyridin-2(1H)-one derivatives was synthesized on the basis of oxazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-2(1H)-ones. Their photophysical properties and antioxidant activity were studied. Effective luminophores with an photoluminescence yield of up to 0.76 and substances exhibiting antioxidant activity exceeding ascorbic acid were revealed. It was found that the obtained luminescent dyes are horseradish peroxidase substrates and can be used to develop a rather sensitive ELISA method. The detection limits of hydrogen peroxide and horseradish peroxidase in the system containing the tested dyes lie in the nanomolar concentration range.
